He is survived by: his wife Esther Lee Brown; his siblings, Hubert Jr., Mary Pearl Wilson (Dobbie), Eva Holman and Linda Jowers; and his children, Hobert Jr., Ronald Brown, Michael Thompson, Marzella Thompson and Andrea Brown Swanner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
