He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Linda Edwards, George and Edith Bullard; his uncle George Bullard Jr.; and his aunt Kay Brents.

He is survived by: his parents, Lance Edwards and Jencie Edwards; his sisters, Sarah Skolfield and Elaine Truitt (James); his grandfather Clifford Harvel Edwards; and his aunt Samantha Bankhead. He is also survived by numerous extended family and many close friends.

Biting Comics wrote a sympathy message

“Perry and I started working on our comic books at the same time. We met thru the Comix Launch program we both joined. While we never met in person, we occasionally chatted online, gave each other advice, and backed each others projects on Kickstarter. I knew he loved working on his comic book a lot and hoped to create manga full time some day. I was shocked and saddened to hear what happened. My deepest sympathy to his family. Ben”
