John Henry Broocks III Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2024, at the age of 95, John Henry Broocks III of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben C. Broocks and Minerva Rice Broocks. He is survived by: his brothers, Ben, Jr. and William; his children, Linda Broocks, Laura Broocks Clift and John H. Broocks, IV; his extended family, John and Nancy; his children, James Hall, Charles Clift and Yvette Broocks; his nephews, Ben C. Broocks and William Rice Broocks; his niece Rebecca Broocks Jung; his grandchildren, Mack Wilson (Kathy Zhang), Charlotte Clift (Tom Marsden), Catherine Clift (Cam Hardaway), Claire Clift (William Jones), Chas Clift (Melissa Chaney) and Hank Broocks (Emily Broocks); his great grandchildren, Rosalind Thomeer Wilson, Matilda, Rosalind Rutledge, Wren, Margaux, Ella Marsden, Conner, Benjamin, Harrison, Spencer Hardaway, Gwennan, Nate, Griffin, Nora Cate Jones, Tres, William and Graham Clift; and his caregivers, Margaret Gatua, Benadeta Shali and Peter Mbua.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to may make contributions to any of these institutions or to any of the many organizations this truly generous man supported throughout his life, including Christ Church Presbyterian of Kerrville, Highland Park Presbyterian Church, the University of Texas and Texas Law, Texas Military Institute, Rice University, Schreiner University, and Cal Farley's Boys Ranch.
