She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schanen and Agnes Ranly Schanen; her husband Gilbert Frederick Nemec; her children, Diane Nemec Powell, Kenneth Lee Nemec and Larry Howard Nemec; her grandson Phillip Anthony Nemec; and her brothers, Vernon and Gilbert Schanen.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Nemec (Theresa Herberger) and Sheryl Awe (Mark); her children-in-law, James Powell (Helen), Tina Nemec and Karen O'Connor; her grandchildren, Adam Powell (Ashleigh), Claire Powell, Sean Nemec (Courtney), Shelley Burkett (Clarke), Ryan Nemec (Michelle), Lauren Lenderman (Garrett), Miles Awe, Makaila Awe and Lance Awe; her great grandchildren, Mara Powell, Kendall Nemec, Brinley Nemec, Jackson Nemec and Clara Nemec; her siblings, Alean Majek, Edwin Schanen (Anita) and JoAn Meyer (Tommy); and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Schanen and Eileen Champine. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
