He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Smith and Helen Hutchinson Smith; his wife Joyce Smith; and his siblings, Donald Holvey, John Smith and Helen Marris.
He is survived by: his children, Randall Kaser (Debbie) of Belton, SC and Valerie Neister (Gary) of Burleson, TX; and his grandchildren, Tonia Causey (Dale) of Williamson, SC, Jermey Clark (Sherri) of Central, SC, Mathew Clark (Jennifer) of Pelzer, SC and Travis Kaser (Jamie) of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
