It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Hardeman Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, who passed away on April 6, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Hardeman Sr. and Corine Hardeman (Davis); his siblings, Gwendolyn Streeter (Hardeman) and Michael Hardeman; his sons-in-law, Garcia Holmes I and Oliver Harris Sr.; and his granddaughter Tylithia Burks.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Hardeman (Penn); his children, Sonia Harris of Tennessee, Cherie Drew (Daryl) of Virginia, Mark Hardeman (Christina) of Oregon, Micah Hardeman (Antoinette) of Washington, Leah Elmore of Texas and Joyce Hardeman of Florida; his grandchildren, Karima, Miiya, Jasmine, Garcia II, Oliver Jr., Andrea, Matthew, Sasha, Ciera, Tonesha, Tiffany, Paris, Jachdiel, Koinonia, Yaqar, Alexandra and Nathaniel; and his great grandchildren, Anisha, Nautika, Kymastrie, Eshe-Atiya, Isaac, Mercedes, Anthony, Maciah, Desmond II, Elena-Cherie, Cassidy, Ca'Moya, Marcelle II, Carter, Cayiel, Molly Louise, Malakhi, Em'Rii and Makayla. He is also survived by his great-great-grandchildren, and a whole host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and church family members.
