He was predeceased by: his parents, Varkey Chacko and Mariamma Varkey; and his children, Vinod, Bindu (Reji) and Vimal.

He is survived by: his wife Mariamma Varughese (Eapen); his grandchildren, Roman and Viviana; his great grandchild Vimal (Jenny); his nieces, Dimple, Deepa and Dikxi (Joseph); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoey and Sachin; and also, Jackson and Norah.
