He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Melissa and Ola Alexander Irwin; his wife Betty Joyce; his siblings, Doris, Gayle, Lyle and George; and his grandson Scott Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Henson of Wichita Falls, Roger Irwin of Blue Mound and Richard Irwin (Michelle) of Blue Mound; and his grandsons, Hans Ditforth of Saginaw, Heath Ditforth of Ft. Worth, Kenny Adair of Little Rock, Alexander Irwin (Bree) of Grandview and Richard Irwin of Blue Mound.
