She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Carter and Lucy Pinchback Carter; her husband Col. William A. Cox; her grandsons, William M. Cox and Brian Cox; and her great grandchild Alyssa Peterson.
She is survived by: her sons, William L. Cox (Ret) and Colonel Michael H. Cox; her grandchildren, Eric, Ian, Todd Cox, Brook C. Cox (Erinn), John Peterson and Melanie Conrad (David); and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Charlotte, William Cox, Emily Peterson and Michael Conrad.
