She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene William Sonnamaker; her children, Jerry Sonnamaker, Patricia and Jeanene Sonnamaker; her parents, Berry Brady Gideon and Eula May Davis Gideon; and her siblings, Alvoy Richardson, Peggy McCormick, Alma Turner, Nora Lyon, Thomas Gideon and John Gideon.
She is survived by: her son Michael Eugene Sonnamaker (Tyrena); her grandchildren, Joshua Sonnamaker, Jennifer Sonnamaker, Jacqueline Sonnamaker Impson, Lloyd Sonnamaker, Terran Jean Renkenberger and Aaron Sonnamaker; and her siblings, Carl Gideon and Lora Woolard. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
