He was predeceased by: his father Cary Sidney "Hoot"; his siblings, Lori Swan and Larry Miller; and his granddaughter Josiegh Ann Savell. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jean McGowen (Waggoner) of Clyde; his wife Ashley Smith McGowen of Clyde; his daughters, Paige McGowen Savell (Taylor) of Clyde and Kaitlin McGowen Eubanks (Christian) of Clyde; his siblings, James Miller (Terry) of Hawley, Jeanita Miller, Denise Miller and Renea McGowen Hedden (Jody) of Clyde; his grandchildren, Syndee, Joycelynn, Parker Eubanks, Journeigh, Tristen, Kayden, Adalynn and Makenlee Savell; his mother-in-law Joyce Smith of Coleman; his brother-in-law Patrick MacNeal of Coleman; and his friends, Terry Chari, Bodee and Case Cato.
