Mildred Gayle Rodriguez Obituary
Mildred Gayle Holder Rodriguez, 81, of Clyde, Texas, passed away on January 5th, 2024.
Mildred was born on December 26, 1942 to Robert Holder and Rosalee Jones Holder in Albany, Texas.
She married Phillip Castro Rodriguez on June 18, 1959 and together they had six children. As a young Army wife, she bravely moved her household between Ft. Hood and Germany several times over the span of about 20 years. After their time in the military, the family settled down to be near their families in the Clyde and Baird area.
Mildred was a loving Christian woman and was a member of the Abilene Seventh Day Adventist church, where she served in many leadership roles over her lifetime. She cherished her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip, her son Rodney Rodriguez of El Paso, Tx, and her best friend Dale Coley, of Baird, Tx. She is survived by her children Rosi Snyder of Clyde, Phillip C. Rodriguez and Monica, also of Clyde; Carla Brown of Baird, Texas; Bonnie and Fred Esman of Austin, Tx, and Crissy Cerda of Clyde, Tx.
Mildred loved her family above all else. She was born into a large family and married into a large family, giving her many loving nieces and nephews. She was a proud "Mamaw" to thirteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Abilene Seventh Day Adventist church located at 2542 East Overland Trail, Abilene, Texas.
