She was predeceased by: her parents, Jordan Epperson and Callie Elizabeth Gabbert (Dorsett); her siblings, Charles, Jim, Floyd William, J. E. Gabbert, Jody Becket and Vada Wilburn; and her son Joe Byrd.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Cutbirth (Linda Cutbirth) of Phoenix, Jack Byrd of Austin, Texas, Janie Seibold (Danny Seibold) of Fort Worth and Sarah Gilliam of Springhill, Kansas; her daughter-in-law Tammie Byrd of Weatherford, Texas; and her brother Bobby Alan Gabbert of Seattle. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
