It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Smith of Clyde, Texas, born in Lamesa, Texas, who passed away on April 9, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Smith and Grace Smith (Porter); his wife Donna Mae Pursley; his daughter Dena Zumwalt; his siblings, Sam Smith, Marion Lincoln, Jaqueline Grimes, Geneva Dunlap and Eugenia Smith; and his grandchildren, Reagan Zumwalt and Nathan Way.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Smith (Terry) of Alvarado, Roland Zumwalt (Pam) of Sweetwater, Robert Smith of Teague and Grace Way (Andrew) of Clyde; and his sister Mohee Barnes of Elgin. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
