It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Vergil Smedley of Clyde, Texas, born in Big Spring, Texas, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Smedley; his children, Larry Vergil Smedley, Jr. (Sarah Joy) of Odenton, Maryland and Brianne "Bri" Smedley Lowe (Stephen Alan) of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; his sister Jane Coots (Bill) of Clyde; and his grandchildren, Claire Smedley, Harper Lowe, Kiernan Lowe, Colton Smedley and Gunnar Lowe. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
