He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Ervin and Margaret Ellen Boles (Fears); and his daughter LaDonna Fryar. He is survived by: his former wife Patsy Owens; his wife Pat Boles of Clyde; his children, John Boles of Clyde, Gail Lovell (Bobby) of Lubbock and Sheri Sowell (Derrick) of Buffalo Gap; his son-in-law Brett Fryar of Sundown; and his brothers, Derel Lee Boles of El Paso and C. R. Barbian (Theresa) of San Angelo. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
