He is survived by: his children, Karin Goundie, James Goundie of Clyde, Linda Ford, Ken Ford of Oklahoma, Jim Townsend of Abilene, Mike Townsend of Abilene, Cheryl Townsend of Abilene, Donald Townsend of Abilene and Lynn Townsend of Abilene; his grandchildren, Cary McMinn, Jenie Shirley, Dave Shirley of Oklahoma, Adam Rutherford, Jeanie Rutherford, Gary Rutherford, Cassandra Rutherford, Shelly Brown, Darren Brown of Clyde, Robby Townsend, Julianna Townsend of Elmdale, Brett Townsend, Nicole Townsend, Brianna Townsend of Abilene, Mandy Fowler, Stephen Fowler of Vernon, Steven Townsend and Theea Townsend of Haskell; his sister Gladys Burfield; his nephew James; his grandsons, Chandler Rutherford and Collin Brown; and also Cliff Burfield. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
