He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Olah Lillian Boyett Pitts; and his son-in-law Charley Aars. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Pitts; his siblings, Wanda Jones, Judy Slover (Gary), Sandra Stewart (Leland), Nancy Halcomb (Charles), Toni St. John, Teresa Painter (Mark), Donna Burden (David) and Paul Pitts (Diann); his children, Lauri Aars and Barry Pitts (Jamie); his grandchildren, Andrew Aars (Desiree), Eric Aars (Laramie), Thomas Aars, Hunter Pitts (Amy Ridling) and Fisher Pitts (Emily Davis); and his great grandchild Kettler James Aars. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be contributed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church (152 CR 4145, Clifton, Texas 76634), The Alzheimer Association or to the donors' choice of charitable causes.
