He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruel Lindsay and Mae Lindsay; his brother Billy Lindsay; his grandsons, Cody Scott and Justin Woods; his wife Rita; his children, Rhonda Tucker (Wayne), Jo Ellen Gardiner (Johnny), Vicki Janes (David), Gari Bates, Lauri Valderez and Wayne Lindsay; his siblings, Barbara Fly (Jack) and Bobby Lindsay (Bessie); and his grandchildren, Missi, Callie, Jessica, Mandi, Lindsey, Samantha, Duke, Jacob, Shawn, Rick, Robbie and Patrick. He was also cherished by 22 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
