He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Hairston and Norma Hairston. He is survived by: his wife Verna Hairston (Tommie); his children, Danny Hairston (Tammy), Faelynn Bullock (Burl) and Bernadette Forrester (Harold); and his brother Emmett Hairston (Evie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
