He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Inman Phillips and Phillip Howard Phillips (Thelma); his wife Betty Jo Phillips; and his sister Beulah Loraine "Lori" Lucas. He is survived by: his sister Onita Frank (Glenn); his daughters, Cherie Hicks (Rod) and Suzanne Pearce (Rex); and his grandchildren, Robby Aills (Mary), Eden Schaffer (Chad), Ethan Pearce (Aubrey), Haley Olson (Chris) and Abby Davis (Matt). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Dave's name to Montgomery County Meals on Wheels or a personal donation which will assist with families that Papa Dave adopted as his own.

“Dear Dave Phillips was always with a smile, no matter how hard things were in his life (either financially, or with his wife's illness, or other things). He was a staunch loving Christadelphian, holding firm to his beliefs, sharing them with love and a smile. Dave was an incredible artist (I have a painting in my home from him),. We loved Bible School times, because he would do such wonderful Characitures of the three speakers, again done with love and a smile. We'll miss him!”
