He was predeceased by: his parents, Joy Clay and Leta Williams (Jackson); his son John Michael Williams; and his siblings, Jerry, Ronnie Williams, Amy Nichols and Bonnie Scroggins.
He is survived by: his wife Docia Williams; his daughters, Michelle Williams of San Antonio and Sarah Thaxton (Dennis) of Burke, Virginia; and his siblings, Larry Williams (Juanita) of Bowie, Linda Randles of Bowie and Maxine Higgs (Sue) of Decatur.
