It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Edward Townes of Clarksville, Texas, born in Deport, Texas, who passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edmond and Dorothy Cremeen Townes; his wife Elaine Ward; and his siblings, Gary Townes, Sr. and Sue Giddens.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Townes (Carrie) of Blossom and Charlie Townes of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Brianna Baxter (Bo) of Avery, Carter Townes of Clarksville, Harley Townes of Clarksville and Sunni Jo Townes of Blossom; his great grandchildren, Newt Baxter of Avery and Hyde Baxter of Avery; his stepgrandchildren, Kylie Henderson of Jacksonville, FL and Ashton Henderson of Blossom; and his sisters, Barbara Gibbs of Paris and Annette Brown (Clifton) of Blossom.
