We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Angel Ritchie (Chico, Texas), born in Decatur, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Cora Luther; and her husband Bob Ritchey. She is survived by: her children, Mike Maddux (Julie) of Chico and Cindy Maddux Sheddy (Chad) of Argyle; her grandchildren, Meredith Highsmith (Aaron) of Amarillo, Shane Maddux of Weatherford, Allison Maddux of Chico, Jacob Sheddy of Addison and Joseph Sheddy of Argyle, Texas; her great grandchildren, Eili Highsmith, Emelia Highsmith and Callum Highsmith of Amarillo, Texas.; and her sisters, Mattie McConnell of McAlister, Oklahoma and Vera Luther Norris (Wendell) of Hemphill, Texas. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Morris Memorial United Methodist Church in Chico.

“I tried to find Angel on Facebook when we first moved to Wise County in 1987. Was unable to because I didn't know her last name now. I remember your family well, Angel was my friend at school and Church. My Dad was the Pastor there early 50s. I remember sleeping on a mattress on top of a well house or barn. It was quite an adventure for a city girl. I also remember her mother. She always had a dish of gum, I thought that was really cool. Sorry for your loss, Charlene Hopper Norris”
