He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Ann Walker; his parents, Kaufman Elijah "Cap" Walker and Ruby Maurine Humphries Walker; his sister Marie Robinson; his niece Theresa Robinson; and his brother-in-law Ken Warr (Jean).

He is survived by: his children, Laura Walker of Center and Steve Walker (Catherine) of Buna; his grandchildren, Caitlin Stevens (Bart) and Lane Walker; his nieces, Linda Mason (Wayne) and Terri Bryan; and his brother-in-law Gaylon Warr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Katherine Pinkston Scholarship Fund in memory of Gene Walker.
