He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Walter Sr. and Lillie Vick Sapp McKellar; his granddaughter Ashley Havannah Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Kunz, Dean Soape (Iva Nell) and Herman Soape.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn McKellar; his children, Suzy Baker (Kabot), Jill Smith (Roane), Monty McKellar (Rachel) and Marian Foley (Kie); his sister Jo Kunz; his sister-in-law Billie Soape; his grandchildren, Hollie Kay Faulkner (Barry), Jonathon Baker (Morgan), Austin Smith (Baylee), Kaylie Andrews (Russell), Sadie Smith, Kelly McKellar, Luke McKellar, Carey Faye McKellar, Samuel Foley, Noah Foley and Lydia Foley; and his great grandchildren, Barrett, Lillie Clo Faulkner, Kabot Kase, Brinley Baker, Bristell, Scarlett Andrews and Jacson Smith.
