He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Franks and Rhoda Franks; his sons, Hannon Arnold Franks, Jr. and Sherril Joseph Franks; his siblings, Monroe, Ben, Andy, Walter and Irene; his former wife Eloise; and his grandchildren, Hannon and Amy.
He is survived by: his son Larry Paul Franks (Molly) of Carthage, Texas; his stepchildren, Terry, Jerry Lachney, Cindy Smith and Lynn Tyler; his wife Dean Franks of Carthage, Texas; and his brother Willis Franks of Deville, Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
