With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Shaw Kavanagh Jr. of Carrollton, Texas, who passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shaw Kavanagh Sr. and Anne Marie Kavanagh; his sister Mary; and his son Joseph Shaw Kavanagh III. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Scruggs (Mim); his children, Mary King (David), Judy Strohacker (Oscar) and Thomas Kavanagh (Holly); and his sister Anne Marie Sain. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
