He was predeceased by: his parents, William McCarter and Lillie Huskey McCarter; and his siblings, Willie Huskey, Eldon McCarter, Estelle Atkerson, Waunita Brown, Bill McCarter, Roy McCarter, Ray McCarter and Carroll McCarter.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Salmon; his wife Patricia McCarter; his children, Randal Shane McCarter (Lenise) and Monique Galmor (Brandon); his grandchildren, Jaeden McCarter, Kaelan McCarter, Kylar Galmor and Keagan Galmor; and his sister-in-law Luella Slack. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
