He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Knapp; his parents, Tom Sapp and Fern Sapp; and his siblings, Joseph, Harold, Jack, Porter and Thelma.
He is survived by: his children, Allan (Virginia) of Cameron, Ricky (Connie) of Cameron, Randy (Cathy) of Cameron and Debbie Gommert (Harvey) of Cameron; and his grandchildren, Brett Sapp, Rene Miller, Amanda Vansa, Jason Young, Ryan Sapp, Stetson Gommert, Erin Anderson, Colton Gommert, Jeremy Sapp, Justin Sapp, Jenna Sapp and Tyler Sapp. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
