He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Powell and Loretta Powell; and his brother Leroy Max Powell. He is survived by: his wife Jo Powell of Brookeland, TX; his children, Chad Grant (Letha) of Pasadena, TX, Todd Grant of LaPorte, TX, Dallas Hackney (Tina) of Spring, TX, Kyle Powell (Clare) of Austin, TX and Kelly Mobley (Chuck) of Kemah, TX; his brother Robert Powell (Laurette) of Jasper, TX; his pets, Buster and Booger; and his close friends, Jon Hranicky, Bo Fajkus, Eddie Cobb and Squeaky. He is also survived by ten grandchildren' eleven great grandchildren.
