He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Evelyn Elliott; his son Tommy Curtis Carlton; his great grandchild Carver Swift; his parents, John Onie and Ruth Carlton; and his siblings, Rayford, Bill Carlton, Gertrude Price and Evalee Carlton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Stewart of Bridgeport and Lynda Bridwell (Doug) of Bridgeport; his daughter-in-law Sharon Carlton of Decatur; his grandchildren, Amanda Petty (Lance) of Azle, Adrian Swift (Kyle) of Decatur, Morgan Cook (Austin) of Plano, Cody Carlton (Stephanie) of Bowie and Mason Bridwell (Jaclyn) of Midland; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Brody Johnson, Everett, Kyser, Witten, Garner Swift, Cameron Bridwell, Halen Carlton and Piper Petty. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, as well as a host of dear friends and extended family.
