He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buel and Ida Gertrude Martin Rutledge. He is survived by: his wife Eunice Rutledge; his sons, Curtis Rutledge (Ruth) of Amarillo, Vance Rutledge (Linda) of Fort Worth and Eric Rutledge (Paula) of Paradise; his grandchildren, Becky McGraw (Gordon, Curtis Dean), Taylor and Allie; and his great grandchildren, Meagan and Jonas.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in honor of Robert.
