He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Salazar and Mary Sue Salazar (Casillas); his son John Salazar, Jr. of Bridgeport; and his sisters, Emily Vidal and Gloria Martinez.
He is survived by: his children, Sophia Salazar of Bridgeport, Julia Salazar of Chico, Pete Salazar of Bridgeport, Enos Salazar of Bridgeport and Jacob Salazar of Decatur; and his siblings, Tommy, Jr., Wally Salazar, Sally Salazar, Julie Torres and Tina Orosco. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and a host of good friends.
