She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Murphy and Lula Mae Murphy (Ivy); her brothers, Clyde Murphy, Jr., Norman Murphy, Oscar Murphy and Meredith Murphy; and her nephews, Ken Murphy and Ronnie Murphy.
She is survived by: her husband Edward L. Black of Paradise; her sons, Dennis Black (Beth) of Decatur, Kirt Black (Shannon) of Decatur and Karl Black of Runaway Bay; her grandchildren, Jason Black, Ashley Culler, Destiny Olivia Black and Hudson Black; and her brother-in-law Tom Black of Fort Worth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Charity of your choice.
