He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Swan and Vonnie Swan (Tilghman); his sisters, Edyth Jackson and Mary Jo Howard; his grandson Matthew Swan; and his parents-in-law, Loyd and Maricelle McAnear.
He is survived by: his grandson William Kaker; his wife Carolyn Swan of Bridgeport; his children, Toni Short (Leo) of Mansfield, Teri Gilley (Noel) of Paradise and Jason Swan of Paradise; his grandsons, Cody Gilley (Brandi) of Belton, Roper Gilley (Elizabeth) of Bridgeport, Brady Short (Rachel) of Burleson, Michael Swan and Ethan Swan of Paradise; his great grandchildren, Ezra, Autumn, Luke Short, Carter and Paige Gilley; and his siblings, Darcus Myers of Denton, Tommie Dean McDonald of Jacksboro, Patsy Harding of Ft. Worth and Billy Ed Richardson of Jacksboro.
