It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myra Lou Stakes of Bridge City, Texas, who passed away on May 25, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessy Brewer and Jemima Mae Brewer (Wilkerson); her husband Chester Stakes; and her children, Patricia Collier, Rosetta Head and Chester Stakes.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Butler, Anna Woodham (Larry), Donna Fells Stakes, Winnie Whitton (Huey) and Loyd Stakes. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
