He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwin Cox and Rhoda Kyle Cox; his wife Virginia "Jenny" Cox; and his siblings, Anna Lee Britnell, Dollie McElroy, Herman Cox, Marvin Cox and Jerry Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Duplechin (Keith) of Lufkin and Rodney Cox of Port Arthur; and his grandchildren, Carly Palumbo (Troy), Christopher Cox, Kevin Duplechin (Erin), Kody Duplechin (Carlie) and Kegan Duplechin (Jessica). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
