He is survived by: his wife Linda Simon; his children, Christina Richey (Patrick) of Bridge City, Jessica Simon and J. D. Dixon of League City; his grandchildren, Aiden Richey, Eva Richey and Hayden Dixon; and his brothers, Raymond Simon (Betty) of Orange, Chester Simon of Vidor and Edward Simon (Vickie) of Orange. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
