He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Violet Wharton (Warren) and Harold William Wharton. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Kissam (Donnie Newman) of Lumberton; his stepson Shane McWhorter (Karla) of Oklahoma City, OK; and his grandchildren, Drew McWhorter and Brixey McWhorter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Affinity Benevolence Fund, "In Memory of Harold Wharton.".
