She was predeceased by: her parents, Quincy Sterns and Lessie Sterns (Mayes); her husband Thomas Downey, Jr.; and her brother Jimmy Ray Sterns (Bud). She is survived by: her children, Tina Nezat (J. D.), Nina Birdwell (James), Nanette Graham (Greg) and Keith Downey; her grandchildren, Britni Nezat Givens, Sarah Nezat Bardsley, Wesley Nezat, C. J. Birdwell Poth, Katie Birdwell and Chloe Downey; her great grandchildren, Avery Bardsley, Charlie Bardsley, Tenley Givens, Preston Shaw, Martin Nezat, Quinn Poth and Emory Poth; her sisters, Betty Jo Voight (Pat), Judy Escagne (Allen) and Jan Leonard; and her siblings-in-law, Thomas W. Downey and Marie Kea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
