Philip Dale Carnagey Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip Dale Carnagey (Brenham, Texas), who passed away on March 31, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walker and Zelma Waddell Carnagey; his parents-in-law, Willie and Nelda Schlottmann; and his brother-in-law Pete Kroll.
He is survived by: his wife Vernell Schlottmann; his children, Jon (La Beth Carnagey), Joanna Reyna and Philip (Joyce Carnagey); his grandchildren, Jordan, Jay, Makenzie (Felix Graciano), Taylor, Brycen, Tyson and Julianne; his great grandchildren, Avianna Graciano and Nova Robinson; his sister Margaret Kroll of Harlingen; his nephew Mark; and his niece Judy Kroll.
He continued his passion for teaching on a part-time basis until the COVID pandemic in 2020 caused him to fully retire.
