He was predeceased by: his brother Lazaro Valdez, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Etelvina Valdez. He is survived by: his parents, Lazaro Valdez and Bertha Valdez; his wife Maria Valdez; his children, Oscar Valdez Jr., Bertha Cristina, Melissa Marie and Emma Grace Valdez; and his siblings, Sergio (Amparo Valdez), Omar (Nikki Valdez), Cristina (Juan Villareal), Maria, Consuelo (Jose Bermudez) and Francisca (Ricardo Gonzalez).
