He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Gurka (Pawlowski) and Pete Gurka; his wife Ruth Ann Gurka; his daughter Cynthia Annie Gurka; his brother Raymond; his sister-in-law Barbara Gurka; his sisters, Dorothy (Leon Faterkowski) and Suzie (Johnny Zievert); his nephews, Ronnie, Larry and Marion Zievert; and his parents-in-law, Otto and Lorine Haarmeyer.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Anthony Gurka of Chappell Hill and Mary Frances Gurka of Brenham.
Memorial donations are requested to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church mass prayer offering or cemetery fund or American Cancer Society.
