He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret Barbara Lucas (Culkosky); and his siblings, Lenora M. Tuley (Lucas), Clara Veronica F. Lucas, Rondal H. Lucas, Kenneth H. Lucas, Perry G. Lucas and Jackie F. Lucas.

He is survived by: his wife Katalin Hildegard Lucas (Walter); his daughters, Dr. Barbara C. Lucas (Kendricks A. Behring II) and Marilyn D. Lucas (Kurt S. Osuch); his grandchild Willow S. Behring; and his brother James D. Lucas.
