He was predeceased by: his wives, Janice and Ellen; and his siblings, Richard Schilling, Gene Schilling, Eddie Schilling and Mary Louise Lopez.
He is survived by: his children, Martin Schilling of Brady, Texas, Martha Bennight (Sam) of Kerrville and Elizabeth Covey of Brady, Texas; his brother George Schilling of Hoover Valley, Texas; and his grandchildren, John Schilling, Heather Isbell, Mary Slatton, Lora Rhae Smith, Misty Stewart, Walker Covey, Paul Bennight and Lenson Jack McCarty. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
He lived in the Burnet area for over 30 years before moving to Brady during Covid.
