He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Hinds and Margaret Esplin Hinds; and his siblings, Clem, Jr., Charles, John, May, Jean and Rosalie.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Jean Copeland; and his children, Jan Lewis (Johnny), Danny Hinds (Beverly) and Robin Lucero (Michael). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
