He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fate Shannon and Dorothy Shannon; his wife Ann; his children, Chris Lay of Friendswood and Greg Lay of Rusk; his siblings, Ken Shannon of Dimmitt, Ray Shannon of Hereford and Kathy Christie of Dallas; his uncle Ivan Sinclair; and his grandchildren, Kendra, Cheyenne, Colton and Matthew. He was also cherished by numerous cousins and his dearly loved friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in David's name to your favorite charity or the booster club at Borger High School (6000 West First St.) to support the Golf program.
