He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Sr. and Wilma; and his brother David. He is survived by: his children, Carrie, Kelly (Jan) and Jay; his wife Kathy; his sister Tania; and his grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Graham, Luke, Nikolaj, Ella, Carter, Sebastian and Emery.
In place of flowers, the Whidbees request that donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
