He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Sands and Minnie Estes Sands; and his siblings, James Edward Sands, William Charles Sands, Alton Perry (Peg) and Mary Ann Sands Uselton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughter Cheryl Sands Aesoph (Kevin); his grandsons, Shelby Paul Aesoph and Dakota Lyndon Aesoph (Sally Ann La); his great grandchild Kiora Elle Aesoph; his niece Serenity Katherine Vasquez; and his sisters, Betty Jean Sands Garner, Dorothy (Dottie), Dean Sands of Pulaski and Annie Louise Sands Davis of Lynnville.
